Terms of Use

These terms describe the SELVU app as it ships. Clauses that need a lawyer's wording are marked LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED and are not final.

1. What SELVU is

SELVU is an app for retouching faces in photos and videos on your iPhone. It has no account, no sign-in, no purchase and no subscription. Using the app means agreeing to these terms.

2. Acceptable use

Use SELVU only with photos and videos you have the right to edit. Do not use it to create content that deceives, harasses or harms someone, or that you do not have permission to make. You are responsible for what you do with the results.

3. Your content

Your photos, videos and the edited results are yours. SELVU claims no rights to them. They are processed on your device and are not sent to us; see the Privacy Policy for what the app does and does not do with them.

4. Your device and storage

Exports are saved to your photo library; keeping backups of your originals and results is your responsibility. SELVU needs the device storage and memory a photo or video editor normally needs, and declines videos it cannot handle (for example HDR, 4K or high frame rates) rather than producing a poor result.

5. Availability and changes to the app

SELVU is provided as it is at each version. Features may change between versions, and a version may stop being supported. We do not promise that the app will meet every purpose or work on every device.

6. Disclaimer and liability

[LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED — the warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability must be written for the jurisdictions where SELVU is offered. Until then this clause is a placeholder and not a term.]

7. Third-party software

SELVU includes open-source components under their own licenses, listed in the app under About → Open Source Licenses. Those licenses govern those components.

8. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the updated version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use the app after a change means accepting the updated terms.
